That last pic of yours, did you use iphone to take it in HDR mode? I always get the ghost of moving object because HDR mode takes three pictures and combine them together.

I'd say the Ping'an is about 2 months behind Guangzhou East Tower. Its going to be fun watching these two rise.

Finally they started laying the rebars. It is interesting how many "preliminary" layers of concrete they poured here before they started works on the actual concrete slab. I guess its due to the extreme softness of the soil down there.

Hi Pat.

Yes - 2 layers.
The first I would call blinding. This second, leaving the octogonal shapes around the piles may be called a preliminary layer I guess.

It's good to see they are working towards a raft pour.
