This could be my favourite 21st century supertall once finished.

Definitely the best and most imposing skyscraper top I've seen in a while.

Hi all.

If we want to compare buildings with each other we have to have equal standards for all of them. And the truth is that if we'd like to wait for opening of all bars and renting/fitting out all space in every building we would have to extend construction period of all buildings twice or even triple of the actual construction time. And the fact that there is no clients interested in renting this office space (so it won't be fitted out), or that one club is still not open doesn't mean that generally burj is not completed.

Seriously if they won't rent that office space in say 10 years you will still claim "The Building" is not completed yet?

Really no offense intended, just felt like it has to be said.

cheers
Hi Pat.
No offense taken.

1 - The council does have a couple of minor errors on their BK page AFAIK but who am I to question ?
2 - Emporis, Wikipedia (really ?), and forums opinions are meaningless.
3 - I wasn't aware Imre calls the BK completed.
4 - There are 3 structures that are part of the BK project and 2 of them aren't open yet, why would you call that completed ?
5 - I have never said nor implied that any project is only completed when it is fully occupied, not sure where that is coming from.
6 - No offence intended but I believe the whole of the works may be completed but untill there is some confirmation or at least 'The Club' opens I can't be sure.
7 - Pm me or bring this discussion to the BK thread if you want to continue so this thread can remain on topic - peace.

Back on topic.
I'm wondering if this project will will be using some interesting proceedures when it moves past the foundation stage ? So far it has been the most thought provoking project to watch.

Ray.

Kowloon Peak is closer to Kowloon, and 602 m high.

Tai Mo Shan seems to be in direct line between central Shenzhen and central Hong Kong, so as to block views there.

Looking north-northwest from Victoria Peak (550 m or so high) which parts of Shenzhen are blocked from view by higher mountains (Tai Mo Shan, Kowloon Peak) and which parts can be seen through gaps in Hong Kong mountains?

I totally agree. It looks very impressive.
Should be a great view from there, I guess.

Sorry if that has been discussed already; but what about the Hotel bit of the complex? The one that is supposed to be located across Fu Hua San Lu from the plot that is always photographed.

Is there any activity?
