No it's not, it's for the mall. The hotel tower goes next to the mall across the street.

Wow it's gonna be a incredibly thick slab, I figure they probably want the entire foundation finished prior to the Chinese new year next year.

Lots of questions for our specialists on the last 2 pictures.

On the mall site:
- What are those circles in the middle of the concrete?
- What are these white and blue rings?
- What are these "telegraphic poles in the middle"
- Why are they digging a hole right in the middle surrounded by yellow and black fences

On the main site:
It seems that the all symmetry is gone now!
- Why only the upper right pile has rebars tied into a high square shape?
- Why does the upper left pile has a steel structure attached to it, I don't see any room on the other piles that would allow to insert the same structure

Sorry if my questions are not very well phrased but if someone could give us some more technical inputs on what's happening I would appreciate.

Thanks

I'm not an expert at all, i just assume that:
- the white circles look like spools of wire, usually used to tight rebar togheter.
- the blue segments, look like parts of casting wall for a concrete formwork, maybe they will dig down into the holes and pour concrete similar as they did for the huge piles in the bigger hole.
- the poles supply electricity to some distribution panels which can be seen on the poles, the ancient digging machines and cranes will be supplied from there. remember about the main hole, few months ago, when they dug the holes for the huge collumns, they had lots of small cranes around.
- the hole in the middle looks like is collecting water, same as the trench 8-10 meters in the right side where are those two workers.

they slowly begin to lay top layer of rebars. I would say 2 or 3 more weeks and the grand pouring will begin.

Look at the people on the picture below. These frames are definitely around 4 meters tall so the distance between layers is something like that.

Could someone explain why is there this big stainless steel structure only at this place (on the left hand side) ?

Today they have practically covered all the surface with the upper layer of rebars so there is really only 1 piece of this structure.

Hard to tell. It's attached to the support of a core column (the steel plate on the upper left corner so the steel structure has probably something to do with the distribution of the loads of that column in the raft foundation. I guess the loads from the core walls at that point are heavier than on the other places (design of the core, general wind direction, hurricane resistance??). Anyway that steel structure will distribute the loads of that column more equally over the piles in that section of the core
