Hi Fury,
you're an enthusiast so the effort of teaching some extra knowledge is no wasted time in your case...

The rebar is not the problem. When conrete falls down more than approx. one meter the cement and aggregates like gravel would segregate. Then you'd have just a pile of gravel with a bit of cement in between. The right mixture is key, then you can put heavy loads on top of it. Btw gravel is used as an aggregate because only cement is to expensive, can support less loads and would produce too much heat while curing (it's a chemical process, not just "drying").

I would agree here.

Looks like they just make a new ramp to poor the concrete in the middle of the hole.
This is the weirdest project in terms of construction i've ever seen.

Hi Gol.
Thanks.
Your knowledge and way with words is very much appreciated. I have some knowledge of concrete, like curing and why they place it rather than drop it but I have already learned some things from you, which is good.
BTW, do you work with concrete ?

And also, someone on this site posted a skyline render of this building in... Well, the skyline. All of the official renders just showcase this building, and while that isn't necessarily a bad thing, could someone post a picture of this building in Shenzhen's skyline as a whole?

That would be much appreciated
how about this one,dude

Haha, no, just basic knowledge from a civil engineering degree.

In case you're wondering what these guys are doing: The guy on the top right is hiolding a vibrator (I know... ) which is driving out bubbles of air from the concrete and makes it stronger.

I would feel uncomfortable if someone is running around in underwear on my construction site...
