That building looks very nice.
Even the construction site looks nice and complex.
Should look good in a few years.

View from the ground

Was walking home last weekend when I can across at least 20 cement trucks waiting to get in the construction site.

How is the tower cellar connected to the station?

When is the station due to open for traffic?
don't exactly know how to connect yet.. Futian Railway Station will be connected directly with two underground stations nearby: Futian station & Shopping Park station.. also the Crystal Island project(conceptional) will connect it with other two underground stations: Civic Center station & Exhibition Center station..

the opening time of Futian Railway Station depends on the progress of Shenzhen-Hong Kong part of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Highspeed Rail.. the Guangzhou-Shenzhen part has finished construction and awaiting to be opened in the following month(s)... Futian Railway station has been constructed for a while.. but the SZ-HK part of the rail was started to be built couple months ago... may be opened in 2014 or 2015?

Are these now working stations or future ones?

Shall the Futian station be a terminal station for some time, or open as through station only when the railway to Hong Kong opens?

How shall the border crossing on the trains be handled? Could the passengers bound for Hong Kong cross the border checks in Futian Station before getting on the train?

Wow, that looks really messy right now. They will have to do a bit of tidying up before continuing.

All of them are working stations. It is very convienient to get to four metro lines from the Futian railway station right now and six in the future.

It will be a terminal station until the railway to Hong Kong opens.

So, that is the middle of 4 stations at the crossing of 4 lines:

Futian station on Longgang line, crossing with Shekou line.
Shopping Park station, next on Longgang line, crossing with Luobao line.

Civic Centre station, next on Shekou line, crossing with Longhua line.
Exhibition Centre station, next on Luobao line, crossing with Longhua line.

What are the 2 future metro lines there?

Luobao line now goes to airport. Where shall the "Airport Line" go?

Also, for the time, when shall the Pingan International Finance centre be fully completed and both towers open for occupation?

Luobao line goes to Terminal A and B,but Terminal 3,which is about 2 km from Luobao line's station, will operate in 2012 so there must be another metro line to go through there.
Click here to know more about the Terminal 3:http://www.dezeen.com/2008/04/12/she...oriana-fuksas/

PAIFC is supposed to be completed on 2016.3.18

Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen inter-city rail is not going to Futian anymore... it will terminate at Airport East.. may be extended to Qianhaiwan

Terminal 3 is going to open late next year, where Airport Line will go to.

city government is still undecided what will the current terminals (Terminal A,B and D) do after the opening of T3.

somehow, there was plans to close the current terminals.
whether to turn them into cargo terminals, international terminals or exhibition centre...

not quite...

the railway station is in between Futian station and Shopping Park station...

without the Crystal Island or Link City(underground shopping centre between Shopping Park and Exhibition Center station) you cannot directly get access to Civic Center station and Exhibition Center station..

current services at the stations:
Shopping Park: Luobao Line & Longgang Line
Futian: Shekou Line & Longgang Line
Exhibition Center: Luobao Line & Longhua Line
Civic Center: Shekou Line & Longhua Line

in the future:
Futian: Shekou Line, Longgang Line, Airport Line & Eastern Express Line
