Where shall the Airport Line go?
Shall it terminate in Terminal 3, or continue to Songgang?

According to some maps it will continue to the North to Songgang and further North. I now wonder what kind of line it will be? In the same Wikipedia map it says it will be the SZ-Dongguan-Guangzhou inter-city (commuter/suburban?) rail so I would assume it's not the same as 'ordinary' metro lines. And what speed would it run at? 160km/h? 200km/h?

That map is quite old, there are new added stations in Airport Line and many of the stations have been renamed. But this happened only a few days ago, let's wait for a new stuff.

Hey, in terms of the subway... the Shenzhen Metro is in the process of attempting to raise RMB100billion in MTNs. Much of what happens next is dependent on the success of said financing, as the subway is currently losing about RMB2 billion/year.

We'll likely see an expansion, but I'm not sure what proportion of the commonly cited "Shenzhen Metro Plan, 2020" we'll actually end up seeing. Right now preliminary research is going on for line 7, line 9, and line 11. Line 11 seems like the most speculative of the bunch, so I think lines 7 and 9, and probably an expansion of some of the current lines, seem like a safe bet.

not the same as some of other cities, Shenzhen government is now not exactly responsible for any of the metro companies. That's why the companies need to fund themselves for building lines and operate them. MTR(SZ) can get money from its 'mother' MTR(HK), which is the only metro company earned money in the world... But SZMC and SZML3 are not that lucky.

the government can only release some land for proposal and let them bet, which means they also need to pay the government to get specific sites. and a number of apartments have to be built as public apartments and return to the government...

we can see unless the companies are closing down, the city government will not do much...

Link City is almost completed, the shops are being decorated. It should be end of this year or very beginning of next year.
No more info on the Crystal island for a while! I want this to be built so that I can have my long running track completed!

So, the opening due dates:
Link City - in Hare Year, whether 2011 or 2012.
Guangzhou-Longhua high speed railway - in Hare Year, but in January.
High speed railway Longhua-Futian - in Dragon Year.
Baoan airport Terminal 3 - in Dragon Year, but then not connected to metro.
Airport Line, Futian to Terminal 3 and beyond - in Sheep Year.
High speed railway Futian-Hong Kong - in Sheep Year.
Pingan centre - in Monkey Year, 18th of March.

Crystal Island - unknown future time.
Eastern Express - unknown future time.

Correct?
