The water helps the concrete cure better. But its still a very dirty looking site.

The concrete has been covered with plastic sheets.

Hi Sock.

It's probably burlap under the plastic to help keep the concrete wet.
That's the norm anyway.

Hi all.

Hi Sock.

The BK raft sat for over 6 months but I don't think that was necessary.
The ST sat less than a month and I would think that's all this will sit too.

wow I didn't know that Seems really quite extreme since the tower like shanghai tower may be equally or even heavier than burj.

The BK raft was a lot thicker though wasn't it? Could be the reason it had to sit for longer?

Hi Eastern.

The BK raft is 3.7 meters thick and Shanghai Tower's is 6 meters thick (!!).

I think a factor in the BK wait time was the switch from the foundation general contractor (and all their subs) to the structural general contractors (and all their subs).

Oh okay, got that mixed up. I guess that would be it then. So we really don't know how long this will sit for then? Once again something to make this interesting to watch
