The mall structure will still need a mat slab to tie the piles together.

Huh? Not sure what you guys are talking about. Concrete slab both for the tower and the mall has been poured months ago. On the mall part they are already partially poured floor for the next level

i believe those are Favco 1280's.

Also, interesting that they are using steel shearwalls. Thats something that is rare, but trying to get introduced over here

That left hole is going good too.
I have a question: at the the four corners of the steel core you see protrusions, are they going to connect them to the super columns?

Nah, the rebar is spaghetti, the small cross braces are penne, and the big pieces of steel are lasagna.
