The cranes should climb soon too I think, because the steel now is at the same height as the crane machinist.

No they didn't At first I was surprised too when I saw those pictures, because there is no way they could add more steel before the crane jump. But then I looked closer on the second pic I realized this is all just magic of optical illusion here

I can't see any climbing mechanisms on those cranes.
My guess is they and the core will stay at current height while concrete catches up. Then, when it's cured they'll put two shanghai tower type cranes on the other two sides of the core and go from there, using them to dismantle these two.

This building is too beautiful for words to describe. This is what would have made me very happy if it was tower one at NYC wtc.

@ VRS Shanghai Tower is taller overall, but the stick on top of this building will make it "officially'' taller.

It really doesn't deserve to be taller than ST,, as well as the Burj in my opinion,, the top 800ft is used for nothing on Burj...

Even with the spire, the burj is the tallest in every category at the moment, so it deserves the title
