New milestone, supercollumns above ground. , + they attach the bracing to the cranes. So the cranes can soon hang free on the core. I guess.

And most of the parts (including boom) for the third crane are on site. You can see (just barely) that its tower mast has started to rise.

I didn't notice at first, but it can be seen indeed at the bottom of the 2nd pic.

it really is getting time for a new jump of the cranes, soon there won't be much more space for metal to go up if they stay there

I'm not sure if they can jump without 3rd set of connections to the tower. And since this set goes where there is still no concrete on the core I guess we will wait some more.

What I also find interesting from the last update is that they started installing steel on one sides of the core. I think you guys noticed the lack of steel on each side of the core which clearly has been done like that to allow crane operations on each side. Not sure if that supposed to mean anything but maybe they will install 4th crane higher (later)? If they would have installed it to the height of the current cranes it would not be able to even make full round because of that steel.

More and more stuff coming to the site. Can't wait until construction will speed up again . I hope it will start to rise in full swing until summer 2013

Makes sense. I should have thought of that as well.

Is there going to be a 4th crane?
The 2 cranes are now turning above parts of the core. It cannot grow further until the cranes have jumped.

Well I imagine there should be. After all the tower is quite symmetrical and it seems crane is necessary on each side in order to install super columns on each side of the tower. But we haven't the opportunity to see the back side of the core and whether form work there have this bay for the crane - that would be final confirmation for the 4th crane.

Yeah I'm pretty sure as well. It's just looks, like I said, that the 4th one will be installed taller than those two and possibly the third one which looks like will be installed really soon.

There is a bay on the west side of the core. So we will definitely see 4 cranes.

I figured since construction was at a considerable height above ground level, I'd make a video on Ping-an. Hope you all like it!
