If anyone has seen the PingAn building in Shanghai, it is the ugliest building in the city. In contrast, PingAn decides to build this beauty in Shenzhen. I sense an evil plot here.

The PingAn pronunciation in the natural voice of a Chinese native speaker:
http://www.hantrainerpro.com/diction...gan_safety.htm
I repeated it 100 time and didn't find any evils.

In plot sense i think this building is beautiful in Shenzen orthogonal street surrounding , but in ST Lujiazui place on the bend of river it would look ugly too.

So how tall is it NOW? over 100 feet? or say 35meters? Looks to be about 10 stories!!! Then with the new steel looks like an extra 50 feet,, so I'm guessing about 150feet or 70meters, sound accurate?

no idea, with the podium floors and stuff i find it extremely hard to even take a guess. under 100m would also be my guess, but what exactly no idea. that first triangle on all front sides, not edges looks like to be about 25m tall, maybe a bit less. that's what i figured from diagrams and such, from there you can only guess, since floors are hard to make out on the blank core. personally i am also waiting for new drawn diagrams. havn't seen any for this tower in a while with a status update

If I had to guess I'd say it's around 15 storeys high, approximately 60m.
Just saw this morning the progress of the rebars around the columns. It's nearly as high as the scaffolding around them. So it seems that they build up the scaffolding only to place the rebars. I am wondering how they will install a proper formwork to pour the concrete because the angle of the columns is changing. Hardly believe that they will have custom-made formwork for every single column throughout the whole height.

..
Floor height seems to be well over 5 meter looking at the workers in the last update.
BTW, it seems they'll have to jump the crans on the right and far side soon.

The floor plate of level 15 is 73m above ground level. The floor to floor height of levels 15 through 23 is 4.5m.

yep, looking forward to see the result of that. Should be quite impressive columns.

Also good to see the progress in the other 'hole'. It has picked up speed quite a bit, by the looks of it.

Are they even working on the tower in the second hole, or just using it for storing materials for the main tower?

The second hole is for a mall, not a second tower.

One of the braces at the north-east corner reached the same height as the columns. They are currently weldding there. Concerning the current height. Below the current position of the formwork is painted "F9"! Plus the height of the formwork and the core steel parts on top is our current height/storey!

I thought this would go faster above ground level, but it's not, is it? At least compared with Shangai Tower's speed
