I knew this building was big, but holy Christ, those last two diagrams just gave me an idea of how truly big it is.

yeah my thoughts were the same, damn. in the very close vicinity there are no other tall buildings so it looks even taller, but from a bit further away it will fit in perfectly with many other supertalls rising around the city

You are right those braces are not straight, so it is not the camera! ;-) I was thinking the same before and I am wondering how this will influence the seismic performance and the loading transfer.
I wasnt angry about the quality of the pictures, i appreciate any pictures from the site, its so great to watch it grow! I had noticed in a number of different angles that the X beams seem misaligned, but i know cameras from afar can do that sometimes. Interesting to hear its not the camera, i wonder why they have elected to keep the braces off camber as is where. Surely that must hinder their ability to bear weight?

The forces in a tower are different at different heights, and that can require a change in truss geometry along the height of the tower, for an optimized truss. The asymmetricy allows for a stiffer, more efficient truss.

Here's an example optimized truss for lateral bracing of a tower. Note how the top part of each cross brace is shallower, just like we see with PingAn.

Seriously, wow I was way off I thought this was much more thick than 432,, guess I was very wrong. It's only 4 meters by 4 meters thicker?

He was referring to the core size of Ping An being 30m x 30m not the whole entire width of the building, also saying that the width of 432 Park Ave would fit inside the core of Ping An. The width of Ping An is some ~60m, the largest width being some ~80m in diameter at the base of the building.

Thanks for your proper explanation!
The thing about the braces of Ping'An is that those top once are not totally straight, they do look like if they are buckling a bit and not just at one location (around those welding baskets) of their total length.

If you normally post in forums where people don't credit sources you better add watermarks
