Love the 80s look of this. Quite a lot of recent buildings seem to have a hint of 80s in them, actually.

Shenzhen skyline is the best in Mainland China IMO (tied with Shanghai)

These photos are more than a year old so just imagine how Shenzhen would look within 3-4 years when all of it's supertalls are completed

Though not the tallest I think Hangzhou has a really good skyline too. Very balanced and organized.

^Nice timeline Barbaric, the previous pg with your diagram, doesn't give the finished product justice, it doesn't seem close to 20% topped out, looks more like 10%, this damn thing is so tall, but I thought someone said we were 20% of the way to T/O? Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.

When this project began and not being very familiar with Shenzhen, I had the idea that it was being built in the outskirts ; now that the building has grown and starting to be shown in shots from afar, I realize how wrong I was.

Don't know why, but I love watching steel reinforcement beams being placed in between the huge perimeter beams.

Kaisa Feng Long Centre has been cancelled

Note: All the projects under preparation are expected to be moved to the U/C forum within 1-3 months from now. Because of slow updates we're unaware of the proceedings, and some of these projects might be under construction already.

If all the proposed projects are approved, Shenzhen will have more supertalls than New York, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Chicago combined by 2020 (A total of 38+ supertalls)
