I sometimes feel sorry for those people in countries like China who have the fortune of being able to watch these mind-blowing structures rise every day, but do not even acknowledge them or care about them. Skyscrapers are an underrated art.

Whenever I show them to my friends or family, their minds are blown and they want me to show them the coolest ones I can think of. When I joined I only liked supertalls and huge stuff, but not the detail and history. Now that's probably my favorite thing about buildings.

yeah i was talking with friends from tianjin studying in germany about skyscrapers in their city and they had no idea about what was going on pretty much

tianjing is a very fast growing city. perhaps the fastest in the world right now.Of course I also had a few occasions where i spoke with the locals about those buildings and fast growing cities with highways and high speed railway and etc. but they dont really care about that or dont even notice if you dont point the finger on it. anyway people like us building freaks are a minor group so we can not expect everyone is like that

1. Dubai: 24
2. Shenzhen: 18
3. Guangzhou: 10
3. Mumbai: 10 (18 including proposed)
5. NYC: 9 (not counting 2WTC & 3WTC) EDIT: 10, 3WTC just signed a lease!
6. Tianjin: 6
6. Shanghai: 6 (not including Pearl Tower)
6. Hong Kong: 6
9. Moscow: 5 (including Federation)
10. Nanjing: 4
