not yet. In the end, only the spire will be taller than ST's crown.

but from the ground there won't be much difference. if you look up 590m to the roof or 630m isn't the big thing at these dimensions

So you could technically stick an 830m pole up in the air and it could be technically as tall as Burj Khalifa.

I love watching the construction of this building, more than any other. I think it is a matter of it being a small construction site so one is able to get fairly close. The other factor is the huge supercolumns--such strength--with the cross bracing giving some vertical push.

Although watching the Shenzhen Stock Exchange get built was pretty cool too. The massive temporary columns holding up the raised outcropping is something I'll never see in another construction project.

true. And since they are not standing next to each otherit's no problem at all.

South tower looks a lot like NEO, a completed building in Shenzhen.

What are those rectangular spaces between floors? I don't think they are 1 meter in height.

Probably some access for plumbing, wiring or ventilation.

let us hope so, when the boom in chongqing started we also thought we would get something never seen before and we see where that all went... but shenzhen is at least getting one megatall already, that can't be taken from us anymore at least and shenzhen has the potential to deliver, chongqing was just a bit overhyped and also had too many troll developpers
