Although the design is relatively simple, I really like this design. However, I'm a little skeptical about what the cladding will look on the tower. Many pages back, the "test cladding" as someone referred it to looked greenish, but in different renderings the cladding looked orange, silver, green, and gold.

I hope the color doesn't ruin the design.

It'll be silver, a colour that is really difficult to go wrong with.

I also noticed that in the core at the lower floors they were using steel plates between the vertical beam but the are not using them in the higher floors. Why?

Nope, I've been to BK because the night before was a bit longer than usual celebrating a friends birthday.

The third crane jumped as well. I am telling you, that monster is getting tall. It's becoming more and more difficult to see what's going on at the top. Looking forward when I can finally spot the tower from my rooftop.

They used the steel plates and a thicker core wall at the base of the tower to strengthen the building and to cope with the axial force. Shenzhen is in an earthquake and typhoon zone, so there are pretty strict Chinese code requirements for tall buildings to fullfil (e.g. a load combo with dead load, live load, wind and seismic).

Why do these monsters rise so quickly? Is it because its so tall that it needs to be speed or does Ping An Bank pays for more workers? Why?

Are you are jealous of how fast they build their supertalls & megatalls?

Interesting point tho. I have seen many short buildings in China itself (and other countries as well) which are very slow yet the taller ones grow so fast. Whats the reason being ?

Thanks for the info. With a color like silver it'll dominate the skyline.
