Yeah, your right, but I can't think of anything that will outdo it in 3 years for the world's second tallest building. The only project in the forseeable future that even has a chance to be built is the Dream Hub Archipelogo in Seoul at 665m. But that definitly won't be built in 3 years.

That project will be completed in 4 years times by 2014 and don't mention the project in Seoul caused it hasn't started yet. So, there is no comparision.

I wouldn't worry yourselves with overall cost of this skyscraper to others built around the world. China's labor prices are vastly cheaper than other countries. This skyscraper built in NY would cost over a billion dollars.

yeah, and the transport costs and materials are generally cheaper because its made there, the people there work fast so the job gets done and other transaction costs aren't there as well.

Yep. If you calculate according to purchasing power parity, it will equal 1.4 billion $ in USA.

i agree with him. A bird's eye view of nyc, and its a concrete jungle, nothing special. But a bird's eye view of gz,sz or chongqing, and you see patterns, greenery etc, what an eco city should look like

Bouhhhh

Bouhhh, I am just coming back from around PingAn construction site and I took all the pictures of the new walls! I was so glad to think I would be the first one to share them.... but z0rg and MCXM are definitely too fast....
But...............
This MCXM forgot to took these pictures...

On this one we can see that they write that the height will be.... >450m...

In my opinion they will release the spire at the vers last moment so that nobody will try to start a higher building before the completion.

And surprisingly on the rendering of the top floors you don't see the all top of the building... If they wanted to put here a nice rendering they would have done a good and detailed drawing of the top of the building, instead they just cut it...

The last render posted by YannSZ is stunning, with that glass cascade on the huge podium, lovely concept!

I am still sure it'll have the spire anyway. You can even see it in this render as I said in my prev post
