They installed a test panel this month. My guess was they would start in December, but now i think we'll see the first real cladding in January/February.

So last night I finished a diagram of this building using CNTower246810's diagram and a different one. So here it is...

Good job Skyscraper144.

If my diagram is correct, the steel on top of the core should be nearing or in the area of 305m with the super column steel at 227m directly at the start of the 2nd major truss belt.

Perhaps one of you, could help me find a few statistics on this tower, the first, the total amount, (in tons) of structural/fabricated steel used in the structure, second, total cubic yards of concrete in structure, a breakdown, ( core, foundation, outrigger columns,) would be really cool, also total floor area, rentable and overall, and anything else, for instance, tons of glass, extruded window frames, etc.
these stats help me in my structural engineering studies, but i also find them interesting, did you know that the Empire State Building has 257.800 tons of structural steel, and 154.000 tons of limestone cladding and glass in the structure ?

If anyone can help, or point me to a website, that would be great, and finally, _Forum_, your photographic reconnaissance of this project is the best in show, great work !!!

There is not much info regarding the amount of steel and glass being used in Ping An (atleast in english language)..... but I think the members in gaoloumi should know about this very well.
Link to gaoloumi thread: http://www.gaoloumi.com/viewthread.p...age%3D1&page=1

I found this video of ping an which is in chinese language and looks like it has some info that you are looking for.

Also the presentation by CTBUH on Ping An.

Wish they kept the gold accents, futian's skyline could use some more color.

Gold accents would look quite Majestic, this beauty is going to stick out like crazy in Shenzhen, just so massivley tall.

one of the better diagrams out there CNTower, very detailed.

yes, the surrounding towers are around or just above 200 meter.

@ Skyscrapers144: thanks for the paper models. I like them.
