I'm extremely disappointed if the super column cladding will stay like this... it looks bald and unfinished, or almost industrial. Doesn't pay credit to this marvelous structure...

For me, this way, the tower is showing a kind of Brutalist Architecture.

Ah, the Barbican... No other building would look better with a power wash. It would look 10x nicer cleaned up.

On topic,
I don't know why in China the cladding seems to take so long to start. Shanghai Tower, Shenyang Gate, White Magnolia Plaza (still hasn't started) and now Ping An.

I know that... even pointed it out months ago...
I was hoping they would clad the sides of the super columns with aluminium as well, but that's not going to happen. Come on, this gray stuff looks like cheap plastic

There is enough time to catch up. Cladding is installed as late as possible to avoid damage during construction.
