It's more like 80s, but there's nothing wrong with that. It's like a modernized 80s tower.

It still looks modern, but it has some 80s style character in the shape. It's not covered in pink granite or marble like many buildings from that era.

I personally think this building takes the crown for the best cladding out of anything going up so far. Can't wait to see the finished product.

how is everyone so hyped about the cladding? imo the early gold cladding would have been epic and fitting for a 660 m building! nevertheless, im happy that its not just another blue-greenish glash monolith. the retro is ok i guess, at least it gives the skyline a healthy mixture. but what i still cant stand is that they hide the supercolums with some fake window glass look-alike panels.
also the spaces between the white column panels are much too wide, which makes it kinda look cheap close up.

style wise this has many similarities with that orange cladd tower in moscow of which im also not a fan. ping an at least has an epic shape while the moscow one looks just weird.

I think the idea is simple: if you make a post and it contains some photos, you have to make sure you credit them regardless if you already mentioned it in some other post. If it's your own photos, you have to mention that too.
