The massiveness of Shenzhens skyline is unbelievable.

Those night shots could have been used in a sci-fi movie 25 years ago. Now it's real.

Having a parkour scene in shenzhen in one of future James Bond films would be great for promoting this lovely, gargantuan city.

the city is too spread out to really show its potential in a few shots, you can never really show the full extend of the skyline.

Hmm it is pretty massive but I feel the skyline still lacks something. The Ping-An will help that of course, but even with it completed it still seems to be mostly an ocean of low-rise residential buildings of mostly even height..

That said there is huge potential with this skyline since a few of the notable buildings do make it look like a sci-fi city from Ghost in The Shell or something. At the moment though it's kind of like Shanghai's skyline from 10 years ago, kinda nifty but incomplete feeling. Well, to me anyway.

Lowrise? Lol! The average height of the skyline photos above is ~150m (highrise status = 100m or taller) and will reach ~200m in a few years.

Kinda off topic but Shenzhen really looks like the city from the first Ghost in the shell movie, the architecture and geography of the city looks vaguely familiar

Fiction

It even has the Qianhai canals
