Yes I am. I have pictures of almost everyday since 19th of september 2013. I have some gaps of 2-3 weeks corresponding to my holiday times. Should look nice.

Given they will actually cover this stuff, why wouldn't they install the final material when the panels were still on the ground? That sounds a hundred times easier than doing this in a height of up to 120 meters. Could it be that the developer himself did not decide at this time what they will do? Are they trying to cut some costs or are they unsure about the materials they could use? Time will tell... I remember we had a forumer who claimed to be an insider involved into the Ping'an south tower. It would be interesting to hear if he knows anything about the main tower and the truth about te grey cladding...!
Gentlemen, it will be clad in jet mist granite.

Is there a reason for it? I think aluminium all the way down would have looked nicer.

The world is changing? No, sir, the rising nations are changing. Meanwhile, Germany: not a single building taller than 200 meters under construction

not a single building over 200m completed outside of Frankfurt either

It's just sad.

It's just right economic calculation.

Building higher and higher is just simply so expensive, that building 3x 150m is much more cost effective than one 450m high skyscraper. And investors in high developed world knows that, and Europe don't have a problem with lack of ground.

I want to remember you that the tallest building in Italy is the 215m tall Porta Nuova Garibaldi... And it will remain the tallest for ever... Only developing countries and just a few of the developed countries are getting taller buildings (China, USA, UAE, my beloved South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia etc...) but European countries (excluded Russia and Turkey) aren't getting a special boom in +200m construction... 'USA and Asia is changing' is better...

Anyway that's a great tower, I really love it and I think the cladding really stand out with the surrounding and the building itself, great for Shenzhen!
