Good point! I still don't believe it'll be build without spire. The next 3 Months will tell us the truth.

Fingers crossed man seriously. This is one of those projects i have been following right from the time when it was discarded as not going to happen and pingan has too many financial issues to get this done and all that stuff. seriously watching the spire cut out would be painful.

Beyond that if it is an air traffic issue than i seriously believe the spire wont be erected as it would be a hindrance whether as a spire or as an actual building

The pingan picture without a spire i posted was of course not an official render, i just wanted to try removing the spire from another picture in order to see how it would look. Absolutely not trying to spread false rumors.

The height is what everybody's freaking about.. Look's good without the q tip/cotton swab, on it!
600 meters at the roof... No cheating,, shorter than ST, 6 ft/ 2m taller than GF117..

Well, me not. I only care about roofheight anyway, so in that case it doesn't really matter to me if they build the spire or not. But I think the building looks way less beautiful with leaving it without spire.

I think they will put the spire because if the spire was quit from the design the construction would be stopped

Its already 555 mts so yeah more than 550. About the rest time will only tell.

I think the installation of spire can be the last stage of such a building process if the roof has topped out we might see cladding go up and would know about the spire only at the very end.

While I believe the ICC is perhaps the best looking building in the world, the design of PAFC is not conducive to not having a spire.

This building is the most interesting "back to life" story yet. I too remember when it was "definitely cancelled"

This building is quite a hike from the international airport and significantly out of line with its runways. Could this be a start to an official blanket height cap in China, at around 2000 feet, similar to the United States? Not trying to fear monger, just wondering.

China is quite "obsessed" with having the tallest.. if not in the world, at least the title of China's tallest seems important to them. I don't think Zhongnan Center in Suzhou will hold that title for more than a decade, let it be a maximum of 8 years. They won't stop at 730m and surely not around 600m (~~ 2000ft)

That's what a ton of people on here used to say about Dubai 7 years ago.

And that's OK !
I hope China will start with projects taller than Burj Khalifa and even taller than Kingdom Tower soon, because there is much more financial, economical and ambitional power in China to make even not one, but more tallest projects in the world
