That makes it smells like a smart marketing ploy to get people outside SSC to take an interest in an unfinished building....

Anyway: God bless GoPro and balls of steel.
I also suspect a marketing ploy, even though people unlock vaults, so to unlock a chain is not that impossible.

I'm more suspicious to the fact that for a construction site that go on pretty much 24/7 is so empty.

But it make sense, if something go very wrong, Ping An won't be hold responsible, face a scandal and a potential lawsuit.

It will have a good view, though is very far from the city (9 km from caiwuwei) while Victoria Peak much closer.

So will need a good zoom to have a pic like this, while in Hong Kong you can see with naked eye...

We use to pick those locks on the bike rack back in like 3rd grade. Definitely not the most secure type of lock. With a little bit of practice, and the right tools, no lock is secure

Probably advertising. Quite common with towers under construction.

You do not understand Russian language but when they opened the combination lock on the roof they speculated Plan B that is they do not open the lock-rays they would bite lock with wire cutters in any case they would have climbed to the roof they were in a backpack wire cutters against flail but they did not use them.

On the video you can see that the lock code is 000000 that does not really surprise me...

Actually, no it's not! The combination is 52005(only 5 digits, not 6) when they unlock it. Like I said earlier, those type of locks are a joke. You can literally pick it by small tugs on the lock while spinning each number and feeling as it gets looser, or if it's really an old lock or very worn, you can peek in between each circular section and see what number the opening is located on

The tower really sticks out and sort of seems out of scale with the rest of the skyline.

Ping An would look much better with the spire, then it could have some elegant needle effect, like Eiffel Tower, Empire State Building, Taipei 101, Burj Dubai, Petronas Towers or similar dominating structures have. I had high hopes for this once Art-Deco like skyscraper design but am truly disappointed with the result.
