well, let's hope they will build the spires, otherwise the building looks really ugly...
don't misunderstand me, i love this building, but it needs the spire.

Yeah, I don't even care that the height will be increased with the spire. It needs it.

If they wanted to do that it wouldn't appear in half the renders.

CTBUH claims are irrelevant. That site is full of inaccurancies, they even have duplicated projects under different names in their project rankings. Still far better than Emposhit though.

Hi Zorg.
Great updates.
I would hope you have contacted the CTBUH to help make their site less "full of inaccuracies". They are the defacto standard for tall structures and as such should be helped out by us skyscraper lovers in any way we can.
During the time between the Burj Khalifa's height claim and ratification I was in contact with Marshall to help with my 2 cents of info. They are very open to suggestion.

We should help try to make their site relevant - no ?

Was it ever confirmed if both towers in the site plan are UC or is it just the taller of the two towers?

They are tanks to hold the bentonite mix. Bentonite is used to fill the trenches dug around the perimetre of the site to stop them collapsing on themselves. Then as they pump concrete in, it pushes the bentonite back out of the trench (due to having a higher density than bentonite) and into the yellow storage tanks you see in the pics.

Once the dwall and piling is complete, the tanks will be removed from site.
