Well that render certainly clears things up.
Whether or not it ends up having a spire, it will still look great.

Looks like they're lifting up a big part in the last pic. Or is that just the crane?

Wonderful close-ups! I think the start of a newer crane on top can mean only one thing: it is there to dismantle the bigger one on the other side of the top of the building. Once the superstructure of the top is complete, the smaller crane will dismantle the bigger one, and then a smaller one will dismantle the orange base crane, and so on. So...

NO SPIRE.

not even making it a pencil shape, but cutting it completely off? can't believe that, the cladding surely must go the few meters further to finish it off

Agree, something like that was the last i expected. I really hope it's still 600m tall.

Or is it just the angle which makes it look like that? It almost seems we just see one half of the top. I'm really confused

at least from one angle it is a clear horizontal line, might be a pinnacle from the other side actually, but still, that is so damn weird looking

lets not jump the gun here, just because there is a base for a new crane doesnt mean that the other crane is finished just yet... myb it will have a spire shaped crown

LETS BE OPTIMISTIC!

the cladding going taller than the concrete wouldn't be uncommon either.

or not... I was afraid when I saw the T/O ceremony clip and noticed that plaque with the model that had a "chopped-off" tip.

I do hope though they will make the last section a glass pyramid on top of what is now, like in my vision.

Even with a weird flat roof the building remains a great unique supertall for me

Yea that looks better than the spire IMO I would love to see the glass pyramid roof it looks a lot better than the cut off flat roof of course, I'm sure everyone would agree
