Still not sure. On some renderings the spire goes on top of this roof. So there is still a slight chance.

apparently the city government put a height limit because of airport concerns. While this tower us in tbe flight path, it is nowhere near the airport, so with this tower getting a height decrease it is unlikely qianhai has a chance to shine.

Almost all spires in Chinaīs projects were canceled. They are making projects cheaper and cheaper, donīt care about esthetic. 50% of Chinese supertalls is or will be reduced, especially unique projects. Maybe it would indicate expecting of economy problems in China, donīt know.

the spire for Pingan is taken down by the aviation authority as the building is underneath a flight path
