With all those trees and green spaces.. and still so foggy/smoggy in some days.. factories be damned!! I wish they weren't necessary...

And I can only imagine how mind blowing Shenzhen's skyline will be if the other proposed projects (at least 3 around 600m and more.. xD) become reality

The smog you saw on the pictures above is actually just rain cloud. Shenzhen's air quality is good 90% of the time, and like many coastal cities, Shenzhen suffers from evaporation( like where I live, Boston, we often get bad weathers, especially in the winter when the sky is always grey). I don't really think we need to exaggerate Shenzhen's air problems, it will get better and really, it isn't bad. However, air problems in cities like Beijing, Shanghai, we should really pay attentions to that

China burns to much Coal, that's the main problem with the fog. They need to switch to renewable energy.

Nope, that's smog. I live in SZ and while its air quality is better than most Chinese cities it's still God awful compared to even cities like London

The exterior cladding overall is quite low quality, the lower portions in particular is outright terrible.

The granite cladding?

Maybe they are recycled granites made with minimum processing.
