It seems Ping'an is a bit more confident now to let people know the building actually has a spire

z0rg do you check their website regularly to find out such small changes?

No, I found the renders in motiancity. They didn't post the source of course. You know in the Chinese forums 90% of people are extremely arrogant when posting stuff, and they think everybody has to believe anything the post without worrying about posting the sources/links, and they even open threads to post information without quoting any single source. In Skyscrapercity we delete any thread like that, and we may even ban the trolls who do such things.

However I realized the renders were very similar to the ones at KPF website, basically they are the same as before, they just added the spire. So I supposed they had updated the renders, then checked their web and saw I was right

Are there any renders for the 300m tower?
I like the shorter tower, with the spire off set on the side, it reminds me of the original design for the new 1WTC.

I am a little confused with this building. In the digging picture I see two holes. One for each tower I suppose. Is that right? And if so. Why does the render show a street between the towers? I don´t see this street on the picture with the holes. Was there a street there? Or is there going to be one?

I'm pretty sure that one is for the main tower and one for the nearby mall- I have no idea what's going on with the second tower.

Yes, the hole that has the ramp going around the inside is for the mall and the other one is for the main tower.

This is the site for the hotel tower (the smaller one) which is across the road

ohhhh thank you, now i get it. still kinda confused though, because on the renders on page 1 it looks like the street is going under the mall between tower and tower like a connection

The part that connects the two towers goes above the street, as you can see in these two renders:

Seriously in love with this huge masterpiece! It's like a remake of the Jin Mao tower in Shanghai, one of my favourite buildings on Earth.
It is also a fusion between classical architecture and futuristic. This building could perfectly fit in Manhattan's Skyline.
And very cool the idea of the connection above the street.

We can't know the progress unless we have a picture taken from above to see how dip they dug.
