Its unfortunately that they are opting for this particular growth method, ie superblocks. Very reminiscent of the 70's and 80's pattern of growth, very car dependant.

Soulvision, in general I agree with you, but Ping'an Financial Centre ain't an offender here. They're squeezing in a awfully enormous building in a plot that's a fraction of the size of the Shanghai Tower, SHWFC, The Shenzhen Stock Exchange, etc etc...

The GoWuGongYuan Metro station is right next to this plot and some entrance is closed since few years already. is there any chance that this will be connected with the mall when the building will be finished ? one of the entrance is already leading to coco park.

So few activity on this thread! I can't take much pictures as everything happens in the foundation now and I can't find a high enough shooting spot. Bart who used to send me pictures from his office from high above has moved unfortunately! So if someone know somebody who has a good view point on the hole, please! send pictures!

Looks like NY's WTC at this speed. What's the schedule? Ready by 2017?

Mmmmm..... and how would I take pictures of a 25 meters hole when I'm at ground level and that the construction site is surrounded by 3 meters high fences and that there are not any more high enough public places in the surrounding buildings ?
Believe me that if I could take relevant pictures I would!
