Hey fellows, I have a little query:
Is the Cikampek-Palimandan toll road open to traffic?
According to Openstreetmap, the road is open, but according to Google maps, the road is not open.....is the road open or not yet?
Please answer me,
Thanks

Openstreetmap tends to jump the gun sometimes.

The opening is planned for 12 June: http://bisnis.news.viva.co.id/news/r...okowi--12-juni

edit: I think this is the biggest single toll road opening in Indonesian history, a 116 kilometer segment.

The expressway will be officially opened between 12 to 15 June. The target is this shall be operated before Ramadan due to anticipating traffic rush on next Eid holiday season.

Java toll roads map

Hello, last week I prepared a map of the toll roads on Java (for the Dutch-language section of this forum), but it also fits well in this topic.

Please feel free to comment if you think I made mistakes

Could someone please explain me why is the asphalt on new motorways grey-coloured instead of the usual black colour?

We don't only use asphalt, we also use concrete. They can withstand heavier traffic and has stronger weather durability than asphalt, especially since Indonesia has a high rainfall average and these roads are projected to had a high AADT

Yes, I understand but I've seen that a road can have both concrete and asphalt.....isn't it better to use concrete only, then?

OVERALL

1. MANTAP - Itu mungkin karena masih ujicoba dari Jakarta saya berangkat 12:13 sampai di exit Pejagan pukul 2:54 atau menempuh jarah 246 km dengan waktu 2 jam 40 menit

2. Preparationnya bener2 dikebut oleh LMS... tinggal sisa sisa road sign saja

3. Pultolnya banyak yang baru jadi kayaknya masih latihan-latihan apalagi buat mudik

4. Bagian jalannya kebagi 3 menurut landasan...

Nice photos. The signage looks okay, but they need to pick one typeface

Thank you for the pictures, I think it will be a huge improvement with this road. In addition to ChrisZwolle's remark about the typeface; I was wondering about the colour. All signs on the current toll roads are green, but here suddenly some are blue. Is there any logic behind this?

What is the status of the Cisumdawu toll road? Will it be operational before the new airport opens?
