Adapun metode pembuatan terowongan dipercayakan ke pada Metallurgy Corporation of China (MCC) dengan metode New Austrian Tunneling Method. Metode ini tergolong manual yakni dengan penguatan strukutr tanah
di bagian atasnya lalu dilakukan pengerukan tanah menggunakan eskafator. "Dalam sehari kemajuannya sekitar 60-80 cm. Kita lakukan dari dua arah. Diharapkan selesai dalam waktu 28 bulan," kata Kepala Satuan Kerja Tol Cisumdawu Wida Nurfarida.

Meski manual, metode ini dianggap yang paling aman dibandingkan metode lain seperti pengeboran maupun blasting atau pengeboman. "Tanahnya lunak, sehingga cara ini dianggap yang paling aman," jelas dia.

Rencananya, pembuatan terowongan akan dimulai pada bulan Maret 2016 sehingga diprediksi selesai pada pertengahan tahun 2019 khusus untuk pembangunan terowongannya saja. "Kebutuhan biaya untuk membuat terowongan sekitar Rp 800 miliar," sambung dia.‎

Surabaya - Mojokerto Toll Road Section IV

18.5km long Section IV of Surabaya - Mojokerto Toll Road, connecting Mojokerto to Krian opened yesterday. This section is the second section of Surabaya - Mojokerto Toll Road to be opened (the first one is Section 1A, connecting Waru-Juanda Toll Road with a direct access to Surabaya-Porong Toll road opened in 2011)

Already some months ago I identified a problem to the progress of the construction of the remaining parts of the Mojokerto-Surabaya toll road: at the Jalan Raya Sepanjang Tani, which is close to my temporary homestay, is a mosque and as far as I saw on March 26, it still stands there while it is surrounded by viaducts of the new toll road:

Does anyone know what the progress of this is? Has there been approval for demolishing/replacing the mosque or is this going to be a long struggle for the toll road?

could be called something like an S-bahn. With the speed and rolling stock a bit Berlinish, the train infrastructure mostly like most other cities: mixed with other traffic (though there is not even a single track solely made for KA Jabodetabek).

They seem to be using exit numbers more often.

But I don't understand the numbering. According to Street View, Pejagan is Exit 266, and according to these photos, Brebes is Exit 268. The distance between the two exits is 20 kilometers. So with a sequential exit numbering, the Klampok exit would be Exit 267, however, the photos show something Exit 2_3. And if this is a sequential exit numbering, where does it start? I don't think there'll be over 260 exits even when taking the entire cross-Java route into account.

There has been some adjustment in the exit numbers (remember that exit numbers are designated by the kilometer number, not sequential), yes Pejagan once designated as 266 but since the opening of the Cikopo - Palimanan Toll Road last year all milestone along Palikanci and Kanci - Pejagan had to be revised by 20 km as the offset of the numbering was adjusted as the toll road starts in Cawang Interchange in Jakarta. Pejagan Exit is now in km 246 after the change
