Spectacular Bazaruto ! I want to snorkel there one day Real paradise on earth. Seems quite a distance from Maputo.

I always had the impression that Mozambique is fully covered by green, but there are many sand dunes in Bazaruto !

P/s : I just returned from the island of Pennang in northern Malaysia --I can only say that the beaches in Penang -- often been overhyped in Europe by various ads and campaigns -- are not clean at all. A disappointment, really Though there are nice beaches in some few isolated islands, you cannot find any good beaches in the mainland sides of Malaysia-- unlike what I saw in Africa via this thread -- Mombasa, Libreville, and long stretch of mainland Mozambique's coast ( from my own search ) -- all boast fantastic beaches with clear waters. If various campaigns of Africa's exotic mainland coasts and islands took place , plus direct connections from all over the world, tens of millions of foreign tourists will flock each year !

Thank you Skyprince! You are always so kind and open-hearted!
It surprises me to hear that Penang´s beaches are not as clean as I always thought they were. You know, I like your country very much. All what I see about Malaysia is so neat, proper, inviting, well-maintained and wonderfully developped. I only wish more countries in Africa could at least have half of that what makes up beautiful Malaysia.
However, my sincere wish is that Africa gets more positive exposure because the continent is really versatile and desserves it. Unfortunately, not many initiatives are taken in this regard. (a few individual countries are here a rare exception to the rule) I do only hope and pray that the future looks brighter than the past.

Lol I really would like to say so but Penang's water really looks like caffe au lait Not everything here is well-maintained.. the level of maintenance here should be upgraded , I think.

A beautiful "huge" islands like Bazaruto ( and also Zanzibar, Cape Verde and others ) needs direct link to all main cities in Africa + main hubs in Europe , Middle East, and Asia to tap tourists. Those Bazaruto resorts look very elegant ( but I hope African resorts do not cater only for creme-de-la creme tourists like what I saw in some countries ). Thanks to Emirates, now it costs less than $ 1000 for round-trip flights from here to Lagos, Nairobi, and all other points in Africa served by the airline

THIS ISLAND IS SO WOW! IT CAN EVEN COMPETE WITH SOME CARIBBEAN ISLANDS.
I HOPE THEY MAKE IT THE "NEW BAHAMAS OF SOUTHERN AFRICA".
Mozambique rocks!
