I don't support the officiall plan in anyway or form, I would rather have back what was taken from us on 9/11 rather than build something totally new.

well since someone asked heres some close up of the sears tower and i will compaire them with clse ups of the wtc but even after looking at these teh WTC still stands out the Sears tower just lacks alot of the things that the trade center had like a nice plazza and complex and haveing to large towers were as the sears tower what just one huge building in the middle of the chicago skyline and the entrace to the building is not all that great compaire to the WTC and i also think its one of the most overrated buildings

and the inside of the bulding its self was really nice ill add some of the sears tower if i can find any

I don't know how to explain it, but even though the WTC towers by themselves seem really boring, together they put more character into the Manhattan skyline. When I think of New York, I think of a skyline with the WTC in it. Now, when I see photos of the skyline without the WTC, it seems so empty and honestly, I don't like the new Freedom Tower. It's a pretty lame attempt to replace the irreplaceable.

The same holds true for the Sears Tower I think. While it's not the most visually stunning building, looking at photos before it was built, the skyline just looks odd and not right.

idk it looks strage in the skyline to me is like a bulker version of the john handcock center and the john handcock cenrer i have to say is alot nicer then the sears tower and it stands out more

as for the wtc it worked with the skyline and the srounding buldings and i never say them as bland or boring its style is simler to the sears tower in a way there bouth boxy buldings but what made the wtc not so boring is the fact that there was 2 of them and they also had a plazza and a comlex and a mall underground i also liked the buldings desingon the outside the steal really refected well when the sun would set were as the sears tower dosent really do that much of a good job with that

Well, in the other thread I voted for the Freedom Tower, right now I choose for the WTC. It's just far more beautiful! Very classy!

No. I am always depressed. I moved back to the suburbs with my parents to save money while I finish grad school. It's sad, I hate the suburbs.

I lived a few miles north of Downtown. Suburbs are great if you are 45 with a bunch of kids I guess...but not when you are 24.

IDK, WTC seems like so much more than sears. It seems more classy and elegant, although I really like sears. They were so...something that I can't really put my finger on. I just wish they were still hear! Like someone else, I just feel like NY is emty without them.

the annaversery is near. and this year its on TUESDAY, september 11th, the same day it happened
