seems like i`m some minutes late..
i think the 2floor-cladding is not as worse with this new design, then it was before. also good that it is 10m higher now, so the height-difference to the neighboring ecb tower will be bigger.
good news for frankfurt anyway

Absolutelty great news. Love the new design of the office tower. Glad they increased the height and improved the roof structure. Another unique tower for the CBD.

I am alos very happy we get a full resdiential tower right in the CBD. Hope more highrise residential will follow once this becomes a sucess. The resdiential tower could have been a bit taller as newfvgffm has demonstrated in his photoshop manipulations. But better than nothing.

according to FNP the office tower is getting a white stone facade (quite a contrast to the towers in the vicinity!).

the residential building is 63m tall.

demolition will take 2 months.

more (in german): http://www.fnp.de/fnp/region/lokales...607972.de.html

edit: whenever I look at this office tower I have to think of dallas, minneapolis or something like that ...

btw. a clever design, the heights of the two new buildings decreases gradually to the height of the listed building, so you get a homogeneous image with all three buildings together.

furthermore also the sloping roof of the taunusturm contributes to this.

that's right.

though too bad it is almost the same height as the proposed metzler tower (175m) next door (if it ever gets built).

taunusturm is going to have a huge impact on the traditional river skyline view from the east. I wish developers in germany would publish more and better renderings. it is hard to say anything about it just by looking at a single picture.

White stone facade and the same developer as Opernturm

To develop this without an anchor tenant must involve some risk, how often does that happen? Anyway it must indicate that things are going really good in Frankfurt right now.

Well, no(!) skyscraper in Frankfurt in the last years has been built with the height it had been proposed, and most of them are taller now (Opernturm, Tower 185)...

you're right. if metzler tower ever gets built, it will probably be a bit taller than the proposed 175m.

thanks for the pics, newfvgffm. demolition is proceeding faster than I expected.

which tower was the last pic taken from? is it skyper?

Looks great, but there s a lot of space being built, hope it won t backfire financialy - as i have heard people say "if there s no construction in Frankfurt, Germany is in problems" .

The view from the Main will be even better Frankfurt CBD is incredible...

This tower will finally fill the gap of the skyline from the south-east view!

the change has been requested a couple of days ago. one of the moderators will change it as soon as possible.

@ newfvgffm

thanks for the effort. it is awesome to see a tower with a totally different outline for a change.
