ahhhhh...thanks Newfvgffm for sharing your pictures here too...and Ulukai, well...it looks brown because there is still nearly no cladding visible (from a distance), just wait some weeks...i really love the tower and the impact it has on the skyline. i really hope some new high towers will rise soon. righ now only St. Martin Tower and the Maintor Project will rise, and both are under 100m (except WinX with 110m)....

you forgot the new Henninger Tower with 136m, and a handful of residential highrises in the Europaviertel, plus a residential tower in the Westend, although they won't have much of an impact on the main cluster skyline. We might also get a nice surprise this year

Anyway, great pics, guys

Today is the first day I can see cladding on the TaunusTurm from my apartment (my pics, 5 mins ago):

The cladding will definitely change the appearance of the tower in the skyline.

ECB needs 2000 more jobs in Frankfurt for the new banking supervision institute. This will put some pressure on the premium office space market and might trigger a surprise tower in the near future. We can only hope.

banking supervision certainly needs a landmark tower, that is dwarfing all other bank towers in order to symbolize the supervision.
i'd recommend a 350m tower right in the banking district.

Haha exactly, they should be able to literally look down on Deutsche Bank and company.

That would be one solution we could definitely live with. Call me optimistic, but i would love to see a development for a second cluster around the ECB. They could after all grow together in the future....

About the TT - i am always amazed when i see new pictures of it. Never thought it would have such an impact on the skyline and look so good, when i first saw the renders all those month ago. It would be awesome if they could install these illuminated windows permanently!

what residential tower in the westend are you talking about? and the surprise you are talking about - do you have any sort of insider-information or is this just a guess shot in the dark?

I really didn't liked the design of the building before, but the cladding is really beautiful. I love it.
