Yikes! Such a crap design in such a prominent location.

That looks like something that could have been proposed in the 60s of the last century.

The new tower turned out fair...but that residential tower still needs to be scrapped.

Looks ok if its the middle building. I don't like the red one though. It reminds me to some weird designs in Rotterdam

it is the middle building (and the little tower to the right).

taunusturm was always ment to be a big filler in the banking quarter. and that큦 what it still is. too bad it lost the distinctive dark facade though. it will fill a big gap in the area, and for that it doesn큧 need to be very interesting.

we should wait for more renderings. the little rendering presented isn큧 enough to judge. looking at other tishman speyer developments in the city I would predict, the tower is going to look better in reality. nothing to fancy, just a solid, simple design. a nice filler, which will change to classic view of the skyline considerably ...

some additional info:
- the office tower has 40 floors (39 office floors and a ground floor)
- height 160m (25m more than previous design, and 45m more than initial design)
- public restaurant on the top floor
- gastronomy and retail on the ground floor
- the residential "tower" has 19 floors
- height 60m
- 54 apartments
- gastronomy and retail on the ground floor

I hate it. It's just an ugly box. What will Frankfurt look like when they only build towers like this one, the PWC and Opernturm. It are just boxy type skyscrapers. The new grand Hyatt if they choose the white tower design bei UN Amsterdam wil finally add something fresh to the skyline.

I like it. Frankfurt needs more simple and classic designs to fill the gaps. And the facade will be very nice with natural stone.

And what we see is only one side. The combination of two different sized halves might turn out quite interesting. More renderings are required.

The white more modernist highrise for the hotel is just an average design without any highlights.
PWC, Opernturm and Taunusturm may not be hyper modern design buildings. But who said they HAVE TO? Thus you do not get sick of them in future! Since neutral design is timeless. Understatement is also a quality. And I honestly hope to see such a "simple" design also for the T365.
There are many buildings that are not super modern and even though have a great design and turned out to be classics: Chrysler Building, ESB, the old towers classics of Warsaw and Moscow (university), Sears Tower, Messeturm...

it's ok, but I don't like double floors at the cladding, it loses optical height, doesn't look like 160m.

There was a proposal that was made several years ago to convert the old IBCF building into residential use. That proposal probably failed. Are there even any residential buildings in the Banking District of Frankfurt?

Residential is very rare in the banking district. Its mostly office.

The only residential tower I can think of is the Eurotheum. It has serviced apartments from the 22nd to 29th floor.
