good to hear

and also the accent is also extreme exageration of the bogans accent - like the way she says NOICE instead of Nice etc

both actresses are veterans in TV and comedy - they used to work with Eric Bana back in early 90s too...

US is making their version of K&K

"US is making their version of K&K"

a scary thought. Why can't they just enjoy the original? Does every
comedy show have to be remade like that? They tried to do it with Absolutely Fabulous and it flopped.

There is a tv comedy show here called The Trailer Park Boys, which is similar... it is a gross parody of trashy people living on the East coast, and they exaggerate
everything for comedic effect. It is that exaggeration that really makes us laugh!
There are Kaths and Kims in every city in the world, and I have known my fair share... that is what makes it all so universally funny! I like it! Its noice.. it's unique!.. it's different! "LOOK AT MOI"!!!

Well, I had never really considered it before SSC, to be honest. But the more I get to know about that country, the more I want to visit it. I knew a fellow who was here off and on for much of last year, from Brisbane, and I learned a lot from him, too. He had a wicked sense of humour and could tell a story like nobody's business.

These are a few for you TB.

Firstly here's some of the Princess Theatre, showcasing it's foyer and front facade. (They do tours - but not when there's a production on, so you'll have to wait a few months for the Phantom to finish to get a better look.)

This is Melbourne's first skyscraper - ICI House - viewed from the Princess verandah.

Next is a little tour of the Plaza ballroom, which lies underneath the Regent Theatre. The Plaza used to be a theatre itself a long time ago, but know is mainly used as a function centre (I was attending a function when I took these snaps).

You have to decend this stairway to access the Plaza.

Which brings you to this little foyer area.

And then you enter the main ballroom. I'm not sure what style it is; Morrocan Cave?

No! Don't play 'Nutbush City Limits'!

Gappa! You are a star! Thank you so much for getting those photos... I enjoyed the little tour immensely!!!

You can certainly tell the era it was built from the exotic "Moorish" and "Oriental" influences that were so popular around the middle of the 1800's.... the trend was started by John Nash's Royal Brighton Pavilion
and spread everywhere in the Empire!

Of course you are 100% correct, and I am thrilled with theatre ghosts!! Both the Royal Alex, and the Elgin here have ghosts... the Royal Alex is a stage hand who plummeted to his death to the stage below, from the paint room at the top!
