Construction continues apace!
Thanks for the shots sbx ![]() Someone should take advantage of this for some shots!! Climb the Viewing Platform Last weekend we installed a temporary viewing platform outside the Central Park Display Pavilion to give people a view over the hordings and across the Central Park site. It was so successful, we've decided to keep the viewing patform for a few more weeks to give more people an opportunity to see what is going on behind the fence. FYI, last weekend's Community Information Day marked the 12 month countdown to the first residents moving in to ‘One Central Park’, and to the opening of the ‘Central’ retail centre. 2012 will be a busy year for Central Park, with planning consent recently received for a third residential stage, and design development underway for the eclectic Kensington Lane precinct and the heritage Brewery Yard. Roadworks and site infrastructure works are underway, and Chippendale Green, a 6,400 sqm public park at the heart of Central Park, is due to open in May. To enjoy this rare view into Central Park, drop in to the Central Park Display Pavilion then stroll across the grass to the viewing platform. We're open 10am to 6pm every day. Central Park Display Pavilion 80 Broadway, Chippendale (near AbercrombieStreet) Tel 1300 857 057 http://centralparksydney.com/climb-t...wing-platform/

Yeah, if the plants aren't maintained it will be a very dull building. It looks like the core finally grew this week - hooray!

The renders for the brewery building on the Tzannes Associates site have been updated. The new roof looks a little overbearing in the first render, but far more more balanced and interesting in the second. At least the colourbond is gone.
![]() ![]() http://tzannes.com.au/portfolio/cent...treet-brewery/ I'm not sure if this is the final design or not - the project is being assessed by the department of planning, but the updated renders don't seem to be amongst the documents there. http://majorprojects.planning.nsw.go...ob&job_id=4434 |

Nice work sbx. It is looking massive... and still more than 10 floors to go on the main tower, not to mention the bulk yet to be built in Park Lane and The Mark. Must be the black plastic mentioned by Ceefee in a one of your shots above.

Great pics sbx and climbing crane, thanks for sharing!
It's all slowly coming together! Chippendale Green is looking good and it's nice to see some glass on One Central Park. Love the grittiness of Kensington Lane and hope it isn't polished up too much when Frasers goes through and makes it up. The renders of The Brewery Yard that paperv posted look much better than what was initially proposed.

This project is class. I'm not going to use world-class because that has definitely become a cliche and lost some of its meaning I reckon in recent years.

Well done sbx and Climbing Crane. The bulk is perfect. Nice to see UTS nicely blocked from the south now.

Great updates. I like the lego tits up on the old brewery. And some of that street art is unreal so it will be sad to see it get "cleaned up". If they really do want to emulate "Melbourne Style Laneways" then they had better keep it.
Wow - a local resident who sees the positive. Lucky you, you're living next to what will soon be a whole new precinct to explore and enjoy. |

a more accurate diagram.
typical floors are 3m, some floors 3.5m (top 5floors) the main towers core is about height of what block2 will be. there is a total of 35 floors in main tower. (17 in block2) image hosted on flickr
