If that's the case you could say the same about Leeds/Manchester/Glasgow/Newcastle/Nottingham although I'm sure each has played it's part in history and each has it's own unique identity and icon to attract tourists and become an internationally acclaimed city, but when Birmingham has something special to show off people who aren't from the city or country have a tendency to slag it off or resent it without anything positive to say and I find most of these are people who haven't visisted the city or see it as it was in the 1960s but more famously for its accent, I'm not saying anyone on here hasn't visited the city and they're entitled to think what they may of Birmingham.

It's a great city with plenty of potential to become the next generation of greatest world cities as is the case with many of the northern cities mentioned above. Maybe we don't like to show off because we're good folk and we know we're good

Should get back to VTP200.

Yeah, but one more thing, nezzy have you been to Birmingham. There is more people from europe, asia and america in the city centre than people who acctually live in Brum.

My god this is one ugly ass structure, I know it's short, but for a tower not a skyscraper, geez only 200.

Yes on many many occasions, most of my family are from birmingham and the surrounding areas, and im a villa fan since birth. Maybe its changed a lot since i last visited, but i really dont agree with the picture you're trying to paint of birmingham. Besides tourist destination or not, this is an ugly building, and when the tallest building in your city is a rollercoaster it makes your city a joke. I honestly do not believe this will ever get off the drawing board.
