...I was wondering about the height - the 2 tallest cores completed at the moment look around 60 / 70m, might be wrong but very suprised if they are over 100m - then again they may not be the tallest cores for the building.

london lad - do you have a shot which includes the block of flats slightly to the right of the cores - I would give us an idea of actual height

Yes people, it has risen quietly over the last month and a half. The cranes have been there since the beginning of the summer.

It's very close to Whitechapel station for those adventurous and curious enough to go have a look at it. I see the cores nearly everyday and they don't seem to be strickingly tall till you get close to it.

You guys'd be surprised to see what springs up in the east end.

WHATS ALL THIS SHOUTING...well have no shouting here...about lack of size!!

If you look at the close-up core pics on the first page, you will see the floor count around a week ago was at the most 13 floors (including the...well if you dont mind me saying...rather cheap looking slipform).....the finished building at its highest point is due to be 21 or 22 floors incl. plant floors.......a process of elimination concludes that the tallest core must be about HALF WAY

Sizequeens

I think this view is from Balfron, those 2 blocks you are talking about are visible on the left of the pic (just to the left of 20 Fenchurch St). There are actually 3 towers there.

It is taken from balfron. No other tall location a shot taken from would line up with Lindfield street (straight long road next to the park on the bottom right).

What's the word on this? The tallest core is topped out at 16 floors, looks about 60 - 70m tall.

Looking good, this view is from Stepney Way;

And from Varden Street;

There are a few good new hospital buildings rising in the area.This one in particular caught my eye, the Institite of Cellular and Molecular Science off Newark St. Great use of coloured glass and artwork on the facades. I loved the bridge;

i reckon that these are the cranes for the hospital development in the foreground to the left of cw.

many thanx to mukkjoy in the Broadgate Tower and 201 Bishopsgate thread.

I take it those cranes are the ones working on the hospital?

Will walk around and get some closer shots on the weekend before I move house. Its so hard to get well lit photos before and after work when the days are short!
