Where would you live?
I saw this in the NYC thread, and thought it was a good idea. Where would you live if money was not an issue?
I would live in one of the penthouses of Epic. Great location with no chance of your view getting blocked. |

PH at Watson Island would be in the top three, maybe #1 if there were 365 degree views. But what about also getting the sensation of being near enough to the water to see the chop! that is such an amazing visual as the waves come at you or diagonally.
The penthouse ant the Fountainebleu from Top Chef is incredible. The view up or down the intracoastal and the buildings on Collins is so classically Miami and if you had awesome ocean views and city views it could be killer. The continuum PH from Miami Vice was also unbelievable.. Maybe I would say the 15 million dollar PH at Icon because then you see THAT amazing color of the Ocean (remember the James Good photos from Yacht Club. I don't think you would get that unique Miami water color and luminosity from Watson Island.???) and a full view of DWNTWN and all the beach rushing North away from you....Of course it would need to be gutted. Even though it's not even built out. It still looks half what it should be.

I thought about the Island Gardens towers, but they're not in the city, and if you want to do something, you have to walk a lot more to the city core. Without a doubt, Island Gardens would have the best views!

One of those row houses overlooking the promenade in Brooklyn Heights.
For Miami though, I'd buy the old Capital building downtown and convert it into a residence for me and my extended family. Somewhat more realistically, I'd take the half demolished Coral Rock House in South Beach. Somewhat more realistic than that, I'll take the Coral Rock house on Bayshore in coconut grove. It's currently listed for $5M and it's a beauty. http://miami.craigslist.org/rfs/423017241.html |

Yeah I was going to say NYC also (Penthouse overlooking either Central Park or somewhere in Brooklyn overlooking the Manhattan Skyline).
But in Miami I would have to say a penthouse in Empire World Towers looking 360 degrees around the city. Right after bribing the FAA and paying the developers to build it (hey you said money was no object right ).

I think I would go for penthouse 4 in the Capri South Beach. 2143 square feet plus a 2860 square foot private roof top area. Just off Lincoln Road, walking distance to just about anything you could need.

Miami- One of the big towers near South Pointe. Great view of ocean, beach, city, port, cruise ships etc.. Also nice location for Miami beach party access.
For New York- Columbus Circle. View of Central Park, near Times Square and Midtown. |

Miami seems nice because of the beautiful women but than again there are beautiful women everywhere on this planet. I just don't have enough money for all...or one
. But I would choose somewhere in Germany if not Russia. I don't know why either..

Money no object? How about living on one of these with a place to put it near Government cut. For me I can't think of anything better.

Man, Miami does have nice women, but there are a LOT of other nice things about it too.

Well the beaches for starters with an annual average temperature of 80 degrees. The only Subtropical region in the Continental United States, the Everglades. The beautiful sunrise over the Atlantic and a 1.5 hour drive west to see it set in the Gulf of Mexico. The largest collection of Art Deco buildings in the country. The City Beautiful, Coral Gables. Biscayne Bay. Plenty of outdoor sporting activities. Sunny skies 70% of the time. Diverse population from all over the world. ![]() And the Skyscrapers!
