The Petronas towers are really ugly buildings, I think.
But I have to disagree with you. These designs are just:
If you compare that, the real Petronas Towers are pretty.

why some people think petronas towers ugly? i dont think it ugly instead its look amazing. I've been there standing between the twin towers and it better with the sky bridge in the middle of the building. petronas towers cladding also i think the best building cladding because the combination of glass and aluminium. at least it does not look bland like wtc. and the most important is petronas towers still not looks outdated like taipei 101 and other buildings.

that's because it's not those buildings that are ugly, but someone's taste is

Petronas's final design is awesome ! The first design was boring and ugly.
I love those towers so much. The shape and the cladding are great.

And here comes another ugly building, it's the Woolworth Building in NYC

I call this building the Giraffe building because with its fat lower part and thin "neck" it looks like a giraffe.

Fixed for you ! But all in all I agree with you, especially regarding the Woolworth (espeially from inside, the lobby which I had the chance to see from my own eyes is a true masterpiece in terms of decoration).

@Woolworth Building: I think, that's one of the best old buildings in the US.
For its age it's very high, looking good and I like it beacause it's crested like old buildings are. Wonderful!
