I don't like the Maybank Tower's pyramidal base, but its entrance (is it made of wood?) is very interesting.

@moustache: most of the towers you posted have some interesting features (I particularly like the second one, with the brown base and the palm trees). The only ones I would consider really ugly are the first and third ones.

Then you get to the base.

Maybe it just needs paint?
We have a winner! That is THE ugliest structure ever. A failed, hideous attempt to make some sort of a cross between the magnificent Brussels Atomium and Berlin's communist-era tower complex. All kind of random "pipes" and onions/balls in all sizes and shapes put together with no finesse, and no relation to anything real or even imaginary.

No other purpose-built IMPORTANT/LANDMARK structure is uglier than that thing - as far as I'm concerned it disfigures the entire Shanghai (Pudong) skyline, which is quite an achievement since it is a vast metropolis.

They should just knock it down entirely ASAP.

Maybe it would look better with aluminium cladding over the concrete.

It's ugly, very ugly, but no where near as ugly as the Slaughterhotel

You just won't give up on that Pyongyang building will you? I think eventually you'll find SOMETHING you think is uglier.. besides, the Ryugyong hotel is all straight lines.. didn't you say you like straight lines?

I like right angles and the Slaughterhotel is all curvy in the connections of its lines Actualy I would go as far as to say that the Slaughterhotel is not only the ugliest building in the world, it's the ugliest thing in the world. There is nothing uglier than the Slaughterhotel, hell, not even Jocelyn Wildenstein is as ugly as the Slaughterhotel

I wonder why you are so badly obsessed with this hotel. It's like you have been tortured while forced to look at a giant photo of it

Ted Mosby's design for Goliath National Bank was quite horrendous

This base is hideous! As soon as I saw it, it brought this to my mind:

I can't believe any sane person (or maybe not?) would design such a monstrosity. It looks like a supervilain's headquarters in some dystopian movie or video game!
