A major failure right in the middle of the pretty city of UTRECHT
The tower is so ugly that the city decided to add bunny ears (made by Bruna) on top of the tower (second image).

So only the main residential building was finished.

this is too much, too overdone they should make it more simple. this masterplan will definitely looks outdated. the architect should know that less is more. i'm happy that this is not the winning proposal.

Yes, that's true...they are looking into renovating the façade, although it's going to be expensive due to it's large area (about 45 000m^2)

That's just a normal lowrise building, not ugly at all.

Sarajevo -
"šibica", one of many battered apartment blocks in new Sarajevo

this building is usually called "šibica" (match-box), 'cause of its looking
people were jumping down from their flats when the building was burned during the war... I believe the video-records with those scenes were shown all around the world

I must say the Steglitzer Kreisel belongs to the highrises of Berlin I like the most (despite its ugly socket).

From streetlevel it is an impressive sight and its shape is kinda timeless and elegant.
Sure, it doesn't fit into it surroundings at all, but I still like it. There are much worse
highrises in Berlin:

Haus des Reisens, near Berlin Alexanderplatz
