That's just one minute part of a large metropolis but one which people will judge the city by in it's skyline.

I just... don't know why there are so many people saying modern buildings like that, are ugly, I mean, look at the older buildings... modern buildings are 100 times better

I'm not a fan of the tv tower, but aside from the gold building and the few others, there's nothing too shabby about the buildings in that picture plus there are worser buildings in the west and other parts of the world, including China. Plus I think it's ridiculous to judge a vast and ancient metropolis with a rich important history with some diverse architecture from different periods (unlike other cities in other countries and of the same country) by few a few modern buildings that don't suit some tastes.

Don't know what it's called. It's located in Boston and is just ugly:

C'mon!

Boston has so many ugly buildings from the 60's and 70's but despite that Bostonians consider their city the center of the world.

If the front was more polished then it would be better - it seems like a concrete slab and not like the real set of very thin "blinds".
I wouldn't say that it is even a bit ugly right now - looks very modern.

I think the ugliest building in the world is that weird pointy thing in Shanghai. It RUINS the SWFC just by being there! Ugh.

Also, I've seen many people complaining about the brutalist apartments in Eastern Europe. They might not be the best looking, but many of them are being cleaned and renovated, like the ones in my city. They're actually very nice places to live in for apartment building standards. I've seen brutalist apartments in the USA that are run down and dangerous/horrible places to live in.
