In Amsterdam we put our criminals in 6 of these low scrapers. Although intimidating, these buildings are not very functional.

That's so sad, they've completely ruined those two beautiful houses. Where is this located?

Although it's not a skyscraper by a landslide, this building (local TNT Post HQ) in my hometown is one seriously fugly mother...

Loads of seriously ugly buildings in this thread: stuff like that ridiculous elephant, Taipeh 101, Chicago Spire (this will probably earn me a patriotic gang mobbing...) - hideous stuff, for various reasons.

They are far more local, charming, and have more historic importance then the excuse for a structure around it. I think they should move the houses though for the aesthic sake of the houses. Saying something isn't special is how entire historic districts are lost.

most of Macau is full of rapid, cheap construction, that is likely to be replaced by casino and hotel infrastructure

That kind of "local" buildings are good in small towns or suburbs not in the middle of the city it's just too small and architecturally speaking they seem to be of little value you propably have thousands of houses like that in america...
