It's a nice building anywho. I like brutalist buildings like that, even though a lot of people seem to detest them. I'd prefer the Trellick Tower over Q1 any day
haha this is very true.

Ahh i'm open to different styles really. I'm REALLY not a fan of the plastic Dubai towers...

Renovation works started last year, but will last several years. The fast growing Ghent University has got enough money for renovation of all their older buildings and to built new ones. I must admit the tower looks a bit ugly now, but will become one of the finest examples of modernistic architecture again.

Remove the exterior airconditioners, give it a thorough cleaning, paint the horizontal lines beige (or white, depends on its surroundings) and paint the rest red (or another deep colour), make sure that all windows got the same colour (because it seems they just threw in some random ones from a pile at the dump) and you've got yourself a very nice modernist building actually.

It actually looks like a fine building- just very badly maintained.
This ugly thing for example:

Used to look like this:

agreed, that Romanian bank is actually quite an art deco gem - it just needs a deep clean.

"white towers" are located in bogota

This group of buildings are Colombia in the center of the capital were the first set of buildings that were erected in the city, it seems that the design is poor.

Many buildings look better with a handful of paint, but some don't even bother to do that. Run down buildings are different of ugly buildings; for instance:

Run-down and beautiful:

Just plain ugly:
