Ive seen much worse, but I really dont like the idea of a POMO ESB or Big Ben. dont you think it looks kind of bland, and look at the top- small spheres. what is going on here.

Milano | Torre Velasca 99m 26fl | BBPR

I don't agree about the Velasca Tower... is not so ugly, you must judge it in the context...

is a Gothic tower, it talks with the duomo, just in front.

the strange volumes of the tower are a quotation of a medieval tower

better build some useful homes for homeless, than pay and threat your employees like slaves.

I would love to know the inhuman conditions those workers suffer.
I also want to know how many homeless are in UAE.
I also want to know if rescuing the poor of this world is under the responsibility of UAE. Maybe UN or USA and EE are a bit more responsible.
I suppose China's or any other growing country's projects are a paradise for the working people.

If the saving of the unfortunate souls of this world was to be a top priority in a Utopian parallel universe, burj dubai or any other construction project wouldn't be to blame.

How naive people are is beyond my understanding. There are businessmen in USA that each one lost in the stock market and bank crisis more money than the entire DUBAI'S DOWNTOWN PROJECT BUDGET. And those were not their money. There are politicians and government mechanisms that force wars and drive countries and millions of people into oppression, war, poverty, unemployment. They are men and women in power of nations and companies that are willing to help their own interests against the environment, against the life of people and nature only for profit, with no value for human or animal life, or future generations. Yet there are people that accuse Burj Dubai for making this world a bad place...

How dangerously naive...

This one takes the cake

The ugliest building I know of, and I have to look at this monstrosity nearly every day! This is the Crosley Tower on the Campus of the University of Cincinnati. Everyone I've asked agrees that this disgusting stain on the landscape should have never have been conceived. The nauseating brutalist building contrasts with the lush Burnett Woods across the street. A rumor on campus is that the architect forgot to put in bathrooms, which is why the mens and womens are under the stairwells and alternate by floor. The concrete seems to be crumbling, as little chunks seem to be missing. There are only eight windows per floor, and the hallways have no natural lighting. Soooooooo Ugly!!!!!!!!!!

Good, Lord are you kidding me?! I could understand if some no-talent architect had a brain fart one day and drew up that aberration, but for it to have been approved by contractors and all the people that go into the building process... Have we lost all standards of decency?????!!!!!!!

looks like an asymmetric church-organ-pipe building.

These are the Cedars-Riverside Apartments in Minneapolis, MN. Whenever I would drive past this monstrosity I couldn't help but to think how god-awful ugly the towers are. Anyone else who has seen them would agree I'm sure.

Why must some of the new residential buildings in New York City have to clash with the skyline?
