I love Bangkok even it is not the best in skyline but it's so lively.
If you guys have a chance to be there a while, I think you will definitely love it

they were thinking, let's save some money and make it blend into the sky so no one notices just how ugly this building is

They are building this right now in Benidorm (Spain). 200 metres tall. Birds are included, they are sculptures....

In fact it's a tribute to the 11-M, the day of the terrible terrorist attack to Madrid in 2004, it's like two numbers 1, and at the same time it's an M (11-M).
But it's a really tacky skyscraper...

It is a bit tacky, but the the cladding is also rendered poorly in those pictures. If the cladding turns out good, then the buildings might look fine.

And I agree Redstone, I can just imagine Lex Luthor building something like this.

Here's a pic I took of the building back in April.

It was indeed looking quite decrepit and in urgent need of a serious refurbishment.
Creepy, it reminds of something out of "the grudge"

I think that architects need to understand the next formula:

wide building (compared to height) = pure ugliness!!

when you take two nice tall buildings and then you connect them with some awful block you get a wide awful disaster. Look how many "connected" towers are here..

This one we passed during our trip in Narva, Estonia, some hundred meters from the Russian border. It's not a big or high one, but man it's ugly!

Park La Brea in Los Angeles is something I'll never get. I used to live right next to it. While it's really pretty walking around the complex, it's just weird with it's octagon streets and it's 16 (!) nearly identical apartment buildings. It's gigantic.
